SCHOOL DAYS, SCHOOL DAZE

Sue thought it would be hilarious if she brought together:

a German Speaking person who spoke a little English,

and an English Speaking person who spoke even less German,

Then put them alone in the same room and watch them try to communicate. – with only hands, dictionaries, pencil and paper available. Several times we heard her laughing at us, from her balcony retreat

Elke is a hairdresser, and she is going to cut/color my hair in October. I guess that will be a real test of how well we learn to communicate! Tune in for the results in October.

I really liked Elke a lot. She will be coming to Muellheim on Monday evenings to give me German lessons. She even gave me HOMEWORK. Numbers 1-50, plus lots of other long words.
